Guidelines

1.Fees requested by the first owner/rehomer cannot be more than S$200.
2.Never put up an adoption request, if your purpose is to find a mate (for your other dog) for breeding purposes.
3.Adoption is about helping/ to provide a homeless and/or abandoned Dog (or Dogs that may be given up due to many reasons) a new home. Adoption is not about getting your dream Dog without having to pay a single cent.
4.Please do not expect a fast answer for your request. There are just so many people in the queue, requesting for an adoption.
5.If you have any enquires about the dog/puppy you wish to adopt, kindly asked that person yourself which there will be either the first owner/rehomer email add or contact no. or both.

*UGENT! Elsa and her puppies for adoption

Life is hard for an abandoned dog, harder for bitches and hell for the pregnant ones. Where they wander to during their advanced stages determine the fate of their pups.
.
Construction sites, boon or bane? Sometimes the dogs are lucky and they get leftover scraps from the workers' pack meals. Sometimes all they get is the boot, some even doused with boiling water. Life is harsh on the road and depending on which nationality the majority of the workers come from, the dogs' fate are pretty much sealed.

Recently in a housing estate up north, a mommy dog was left abandoned by her owner. We say abandoned for she had the looks of an owned dog, wasn't too scrawny then, was not afraid of people and had a wag in welcome.

She was heavily pregnant by the time she arrived at the estate and was completely tired, confused, lost, hungry and puzzled. A nearby construction worker had compassion and pity and took her to his work site for shelter and provided her food. God' is Good and in the safety and security of the site workers, she gave birth peacefully to four exceptionally lovely and beautiful male puppies. We call mommy, Elsa for we believe God is bountiful and it is through His grace and mercy, the pups have survived.

All good things never bodes well in the wild no matter how much we wish or hope otherwise, and although lovely Elsa and her sons thought they finally had some permanency and love, the boss of the work site discovered the family staying at his site and he was unhappy. He called AVA but the workers took pains to hide the mommy dog and her beautiful puppies. But as we all know, they can’t hide them forever and they negotiated with the boss for the dogs' safety. We now have a date line to remove the dogs from the work site or he will call AVA again.
.
We are trying to help the site friends find homes for the Elsa and her babies. It will be wonderful if we can find a home for Mommy as well but we know realistically, her pups will stand a better chance for everyone prefers to adopt a pup.
.
Elsa is a lovely lovely lady with beautiful grey blue eyes. She is small frame. She is extremely docile and mild mannered and her pups have inherited her temperament, and a couple of them have the same grey blue eyes. In desperation, even if the site workers can just rehome one from this family before AVA steps in, they will be thankful for one life saved is better than 5 lives perished. Such is the situation we have all come to expect for every shelter is full and there is not enough funds to board another, even if we can find the space.

Elsa is small frame and light brown in colour with grey green eyes.

The pups are young, less than two months old, extremely healthy for they have been nursed by a healthy mom, thanks to the site workers' contribution of food and love.

One is light brown with brown eyes

One is dark brown with Grey eyes

One is furry darker brown with Grey eyes

One is furry brown with yellow golden eyes

This is an urgent appeal for anyone who is living in a private residence and looking for a pet, to adopt Elsa or one of her pups. if any is keen please email anaterry@singnet or call HP: 9765 9951 for viewing, please do note the puppies are not HDB approved.

Golden and GSD for adoption! no adopt, they will be send to SPCA

"I am sending this email as part of my effort to help these two dogs. The current owners are unable to keep them anymore for logistic reasons.

The German Shepherd is 4.5 years old and the Golden Labrador, 3.5 years old. Both dogs are males, vaccinated but not sterilised. They are lovable and good tempered, and are generally healthy.

If you know of anyone who might be keen to adopt either or both of them, please help forward this email. They need to get adopted soon because as of mid May 2010, they will be without a home.

If these two are not adopted, they will be sent to SPCA and there is a high likelihood of them being put to sleep.

Please help do all we can to save their lives.

I am contactable at:
markyncw@gmail.com

Best regards,

Mark Ng

Help Dimmie the GR

Please Help Dimmie?

ep‧i‧lep‧sy [uncountable]
a medical condition affecting your brain, that can make you suddenly become unconscious or unable to control your movements for a short time

Have you ever encountered any one with epilepsy? Have you encountered any dog suffering from that condition? Dimmie (since renamed Zara), a two year old golden retriever, has been afflicted with this condition all her life. Her eyes would roll back and she would convulse and thrash about, sometimes even banging herself against the walls of the room. Dimmie was a one-time shelter dog at our previous location. Because of her condition, we entrusted her to a kind fosterer. Dimmie is not well again. We sent her to the vet and it cost us a whopping $2,500. Her fosterer, a cancer patient, cannot afford to pay the bill. A volunteer at Gentle Paws has kindly paid the bill first. $2,500 at one go is a huge sum for any one to afford. We are currently desperately seeking contributions to repay the volunteer. Please contact us at farmwaylove@gmail.com if you are interested in helping us out. We will provide further details, such as the scanned copy of the bill from the vet.

If we are not there for Dimmie, who will be? It is not fair why some dogs are born with such afflictions while others get to have a home, a family, love and warmth. Please help Dimmie. She is now back at the shelter with us because her fosterer can no longer cope. You can visit her at the shelter before you decide whether or not to help out. We sincerely hope you do. Thank you.

75 DOGS for adoption or foster!!

Puppy mill breeder/owner in Pasir Ris has just about abandoned his breeding stock and their puppies. 75 dogs are up for FOSTER or ADOPTION. Many breeds of various ages. Spotted are cavalier king charles, chihuahua, maltese, mini schnauzer, shih tzu, pomeranian, jack russell terrier, whippet, sheltie, golden retriever, labrador, silky, yorkie, poodle, beagle, british bull, cairn terrier. From 1 month old and up.

The worst of the dogs have been removed from the farm and taken to the vet. The rest are quite healthy looking.

We would like to get the dogs out of this farm as soon as possible. It is unlikely you will be provided with pictures or be given an opportunity to view the animals. Dogs will be taken out only when foster homes can be confirmed for them.

Funds are also being raised to help pay for the vet costs for the dogs which are ever increasing as some of the dogs have tick fever and need to be hospitalized. Every cent counts! Money will be accounted for and all will go to helping the dogs.

Please call Derrick at 83833714

Please help this cat with half her face GONE!!

"Lara was found with half her face missing, rotting and smelling very very awful. The smell was so bad that the vet had to put on vic's vapourub on her mask while in surgery and still the smell seeped through.

She was missing for 2 weeks before she appeared when the feeder went on her feeding rounds. She was very skinny and hungry, trying to eat, but was unable to as the pain must be terrible. Managed to trap her and sent her to the vet. She has been a cat at Little India for many years and was only recently sterelised about 2 months ago. Its not fair that she has to end up this way. Seeing that she is still trying to eat and has such strong surviving spirit, decided to bring her to the vet and see how it goes.

The vet had to do 2 surgeries to take off the dead skin on her face. Half of her nose is gone, her lower eyelid and some part of the mouth. After the first surgery, she began eating on her own the third day and has gone on from strength to strength. For the second surgery, the vet put a tube through her oesophagus directly to her stomach so she can be tube fed and her face wouldn't be dirtied which may cause further infections.

She would need multiple surgeries to reconstruct her face. Parts of it which do not have skin for the new tissue to grow will will be vulnerable to infections. She also need daily cleaning for her face, which she is tolerating quite well! She also needs to be indoor after this, so she would need a home too. So far the hospital bill is coming up to $1000 and she will still need to stay there for quite awhile. The vet estimate that she would need another $1000 at least and more for the reconstruction of her face.

I'm looking after many cats at the Little India area and has already brought many of them to the vet.
If you could help with Lara's medical bill, or a home for her, please contact me at 9397 8890, or you can email me at vik_pet@ymail.com. I don't have regular email access so may be slow in my reply.

Lara is currently at Animal Docters, Ang Mo Kio Ave 4, Blk 108 #01-96 Tel: 6451 4531

Thank you. "

Help this kind old man ):

"As many of us know, it has been raining for the past few weeks in Singapore. The wind and rains are particularly strong in the forested areas. One day, an 80 year old man was taking his routine walk when he heard a yelp – sounding like a piteous cry for help from a far distance. He was curious and began walking through the difficult wood to search for that cry. After 45 mins of tedious hunt in a heavily forested area, hurting himself through dead trees, snagged by pricky thorns, thick undergrowth and multilayered canopy dominated by large trees and accumulations of dead leaves and rotten wood.

The kind old man finally saw a lonely mommy dog with her 8 pups trapped by dead logs in the dense forest. As there was no way for him to remove the logs, he went home and brought along a chisel, an axe and trowel to start removing the logs and making small pathway for the mommy and pups to walk. As he is old and did not have any other help, the old man spent one full day removing all the obstacles to rescue the family. He carried the pups and made a makeshift room for them to rest and went off to cook a simple meal for them to eat

As age is catching up, the old man suffered a terrible backache and fatigue; he was sick for many days and was unable to get out of bed. As he lived alone, there was no one to care for him, much less cook for the dogs. The mommy was hungry and started bringing her pups to the deep forest to search for food which resulted in 3 deaths as they were either starved to death or crushed by the falling dead trees.

The old man is pleading for kind souls who have the space and love at home to give the puppies a chance in life to call it their home as well. Right now we are trying to help him rehome them since they are very young and when time is right, we will have mommy sterilized, if we can get near enough her to catch her.

Many have suggested to the old man to bring the pups to SPCA as there are so many others out there also looking for home. We are as torn on how to help him but we will try this avenue first"

If anyone is able to help and wishes to view and adopt the puppies, please call HP: 9765 9951 or email to alim0703@yahoo.com.sg.

Terra Rosa the Cross breed

" Our beautiful Terra Rosa escaped death twice in a month!

She was cruelly abandoned by her irresponsible owners who vacated their home without taking her along. She was left wandering alone to fend for herself, confused, hungry, frightened and worse of all, was hounded and chased by the authorities.

After the first escape, she hid in the bushes, however, she was not lucky the 2nd time round. She was caught by the authorities while taking a nap beneath the bushes. Doomed for death, she was redeemed by a group of caring individuals, at the eleventh hour and immediately sent to the vet to be spayed whereupon the vet informed that 5 puppies were aborted.

We call her Terra Rosa - which is the name for the lovely color of red clayish earth where grape vines thrive and flourish best. This best describes our beautiful dog for her colouring is unusual and she glows in the sunshine. Just as lovely is her temperament and personality for she is gentle and sweet.

Terra Rosa or Rosa as she is affectinately known is a one year old Mixed Breed, sterilised and fully vaccinated. She is temporarily staying in a boarding home and is ready to be adopted. According to the caregiver, Rosa is a wonderful girl. She does not bark, gets along with the other dogs and and is non aggressive to anyone. She spends her days watching and following the caretaker around. Her favorite pastime is napping away in the warm sun, smiling at the birds and enjoying the cool breeze.

If you are able to provide a home for Terra Rosa so she can indulge in the warm glow of your love and bring you great joy, please send a text message to 9066-1999 and we will call you back or email to anaterry@singnet.com.sg. Rosa is a medium size dog and is not a HDB approved breed."

Blessing the GS puppy

Receive from an email:

Blessing was found together with the two golden retrievers and other mongrel dogs and pups in rural part of Singapore.

He caught my attention as he's the only pup that stands out from the rest of the pups.He looks like a GS pup and we suspect the rest of his siblings may have been taken away by others but left him behind with the mongrels.

He has a small wound on his head which was bitten by other dog.We decided to take him with us.We were saddened to see many pups and dogs there but we couldn't take all of them.We left the place, feeling very sad, especially when the dogs ran after us when the car drove off.

We hope that we are able to come back soon to rescue the rest of them. This only can be done if more people come forward to help..in any way..be it foster..adopt..pls help us to spread the words around so to make this dream come true to save them.

Blessing, as we called him.We pray he will be blessed to find a good home, and bless the one who will give him a home. Will you be that special one to give Blessing a home?

Pls contact 96890777 if you wish to adopt Blessing. Not HDB approved.
